This old man is a joke seriously. 50 plus years of experience I don’t know how this place is still in business. Took... my stepson here today and we both got a cut. The owner is a gimmick and a liar. Was told over the phone he can cut any style and suit any personal preference. My stepsons line up was so bad none of it was straight at all and it looked scraggly. I got what was supposed to be a a light fade Johnny never even lined me up because he was in a rush to serve his next customer. Neither did he cut my hair the way it should have been. Ended up leaving here after being charged $42 for a mockery excuse of a haircut so bad that my 7 year old stepson could have done abetter job. Went to Tru Blends Barbershop on Arlington boulevard and was blessed that they were able to fix both mine and my stepson’s haircuts. He got a proper and straight line up and I got the fade I’d wanted and a line up considering The owner here at el Toro didn’t give me one. 0 out of 5 stars definitely unsatisfied would never recommend this place to anyone felt rushed the entire time also. Think it’s time for this old man here to retire or maybe pick up a job shearing sheep cause that’s about all he’s good for these daysread more

Amazing place it has one of the best waiting areas with a pool table and some couches to relax and maybe play some... checkers. The waiting area isn't even the best part though, the haircuts are even better Johnny really knows what he is doing and has mastered his craft. Had a great experience here. I am used to getting my haircut by my father, cousin, or a good pal (I'm a cheapo).... Anyways due to this, I am quite unfamiliar with my own personal head shape and what suits it most. I am also clueless on cuts and how I really want them based on my head shape. It was a decent cut for the price, but it wasn't what I asked for. I didn't notice until I got home that he shaved a... bunch of hair from behind my ear that isn't anywhere symmetrical to the other side. Had also called ahead for a price quote, to which he told me $10-17, after he finished, he told me it was $20. Overall unimpressed, but you get what you pay for. Would not recommend and will not be returningread more
